CPMS provided a number of resources into the integrated management team to support the 8 month delivery programme of the Ipswich Yard project. Now acknowledged as one of the most complex projects delivered in Anglia last year, the Ipswich Yard scheme was challenging because of the technical complexity around the signalling system and the intensive programme for completing multi-functional work during the blockade.
The SSV Railway Overhead Line Renewal is between and Shenfield and Southend (approx. 40 track miles). This comprises an extremely technically challenging programme of works due to the complexity of the existing infrastructure, interface with the operational railway and restricted engineering access. The project comprises the installation of 83 wire runs and associated structures as part of a new auto tensioned overhead line system.
CPMS is currently undertaking environmental services on behalf of Network Rail on the East West Rail Programme, covering both Phases 1 and 2. Phase 1 is presently in the detailed design and construction stage, here our CPMS Environment Manager is advising the client team on all aspects of environmental management both on site and in the office. We are also overseeing the contractor's environmental management resource and guiding the direction of the project's environmental management.
The Great Eastern Railway Overhead Line Renewal is between London Liverpool Street and Chelmsford (approx. 100 track miles).
This comprises an extremely technically challenging programme of works due to the complexity of the existing infrastructure and interface with the operational railway. In total, 345 wire runs and associated structures for a new auto tensioned overhead line system are to be installed.
The Ipswich Chord is a new 1.2km double track railway providing essential connection between the East Suffolk Line and the Great Eastern Line. The Chord forms part of the strategic freight network which is crucial in easing congestion for both passenger and freight services.
